Randal Kolo Muani, Paris Saint-Germain’s 25-year-old striker, spoke briefly to the media on Thursday evening after the 0-0 draw with Equipe de France against Israel. In particular, he was asked to comment on his difficult position in Paris, witah very little game time.
“It’s up to me to keep working so that the coach (Luis Enrique) trusts me. I’ve got my head on my shoulders and I’m going to keep working.
Do you still hope to make your mark at PSG?
I hope so”, comments relayed by L’Equipe.
We appreciate Kolo Muani’s determination and the absence of controversy when there was an opportunity that some would have seized. There’s no question of him creating tension or giving up. This is, of course, commendable. Unfortunately, this great mentality may not be enough to make a place for himself.
The striker just can’t seem to find his place in Luis Enrique’s game, and the most logical move now seems to be to leave this winter. But soccer knows how to surprise, and a lot can still happen. Not to mention the fact that PSG won’t simply give their player away. They’ll need a good offer and an attractive option to replace him.
Until then, there’s no choice for Kolo Muani: he has to work as hard as he can, try to get some playing time and make the most of it. Whether his future lies with PSG or far away, there’s no better option.
