Paris Saint-Germain, who lost to Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena (1-0, Bayern/PSG video summary), is not among the nominees for player of the week. The contenders are Florian Wirtz (21-year-old Bayer Leverkusen attacking midfielder), Julian Alvarez (24-year-old Atlético Madrid striker), Malik Tillman (22-year-old PSV Eindhoven attacking midfielder) and Mateo Retegui (25-year-old Atalanta striker).
A very fine selection, with competition always particularly tough in this competition. We hope to see PSG in a selection like this again in the near future, as it will mean there has been a great performance.
