On the sidelines of a press conference on Saturday to discuss tomorrow’s 2024-2025 French Cup Round of 32 match against Lens at Stade Bollaert (kick-off 9pm, broadcast on beIN SPORTS in France), Paris Saint-Germain coach Luis Enrique was interviewed by PSG TV. The interview was an opportunity to talk about the Parisian fans, Lens’ opponents and his wishes for the coming year.
Luis Enrique “Whether we’re at home or away, they’re the ones we hear from the most.”
Any words for the fans to end the year?
The positive message, it can only be positive. Not only for what we see in training and on the pitch. It’s what we pass on, the mentality. For this year, we’d like to thank the fans for their unconditional support.
Whether we’re at home or away, they’re the ones we hear from the most. We know they’ll continue to do so, and we’ll give it our all to live up to their expectations.
What kind of match are you expecting tomorrow?
They’re an opponent with a great aura of soccer in their stadium, with intense soccer. They’re a hard-working, aggressive team. It’s another competition in the season, it’s very attractive but also different and difficult. It’s always full of surprises, so we’ll have to stay focused.
Luis Enrique “triumphs, victories, with pride for the fans.”
What do you want for 2025?
The same as 2024, which was a year of triumphs and victories, with pride for the fans. And we’re hoping for more titles. Of course, health, otherwise there’s nothing.
