This Sunday, the newspaper L’Equipe published its 2025 World XI. Paris Saint-Germain is represented in almost every position: Nuno Mendes, Willian Pacho, Achraf Hakimi, Vitinha, João Neves, Désiré Doué, and Ousmane Dembélé. Gianluigi Donnarumma, who spent the first half of the year in Paris before signing for Manchester City, is also included.

Each selection is open to debate, as there are many top-level players in the world. However, seeing PSG so well represented makes sense, given their six titles, including the Champions League in impressive fashion. There are, however, some notable omissions, as other players and teams have also shone. Seeing Marquinhos overtaken by William Saliba is understandable, even if the Brazilian is often somewhat underestimated due to some difficult matches in the past.
Offensively, Lamine Yamal and Kylian Mbappé are spectacular, although this might lack balance for the team. That’s always the difficulty with this kind of starting eleven, rarely chosen with winning in mind. Even so, this lineup could be interesting if everyone puts in the effort.
