On Matchday 9 of the 2025-2026 Ligue 1 season, Paris Saint-Germain will face Brest at the Stade Francis Le Blé this Saturday at 5 p.m. CET. A must-win match to have any hope of regaining first place.

After two draws in Ligue 1, it’s time for PSG to get back to winning ways. There’s nothing dramatic yet, but first place has finally been lost, and that’s never a pleasant situation. The Parisians can’t accept this; they must react. Brest will obviously not give up. But this team seems less equipped to resist this season.

Olympique de Marseille, in first place since last weekend, has a very difficult trip to Lens, which is in fourth place and has bounced back after a difficult start to the season. This will be an important test for the new leader. And that’s not the only clash of the weekend, as Olympique Lyonnais (5th) hosts Strasbourg (3rd). The top spots could well change.

Lille (6th) has the mission to take advantage of this by hosting Metz, 18th and in great danger. Even though we know that football is never that simple. There’s also the match between Monaco (7th) and Toulouse (8th) to cling to the European race as much as possible. Rennes (9th) and Nice (10th) face off with the same idea, but further behind. And tensions on the Rennes side.

As for relegation, the matches between Auxerre (14th) and Le Havre (16th), as well as Angers (17th) and Lorient (13th) are already shaping up to be very important.
