On Matchday 29 of the 2025-2026 Ligue 1 season, Paris Saint-Germain is scheduled to face Lens on Wednesday, May 13th, following a postponement of the match, as was the case for Strasbourg and Brest, to allow PSG and Strasbourg time to recover in preparation for European fixtures. Meanwhile, Monaco has slipped down the European qualification race, while Paris FC has all but secured its place in Ligue 1 for next season.

Current Standings –

To kick off the weekend, Paris FC pulled off one of the biggest upsets of the matchday: a resounding 4-1 victory over a Monaco side that had been in good form recently. This win by Antoine Kombouaré’s men is a huge boost to their survival hopes, while it’s a particularly painful setback for Monaco in their quest for European qualification.
Especially since Lille thrashed Toulouse, and Rennes secured a hard-fought victory against Angers. Marseille got the job done against Metz. It wasn’t a brilliant 3-1 victory against the bottom-placed team in Ligue 1, but it still earned them three valuable points. The same goes for the other matches. Including Olympique Lyonnais’ hard-fought 2-0 win against Lorient (6 shots to 10 in favor of Lorient), which puts Monaco well behind.
Draws for Auxerre, Nantes, and Nice. Paris FC took a big step towards securing their place in Ligue 1, which is practically guaranteed, since the other contenders, like many last week, drew their matches. The 0-0 draw between Auxerre and Nantes leaves Nantes in a very precarious position, much to the relief of Auxerre. But Nice and Le Havre (1-1) also remain in danger.
