On Matchday 29 of the 2025-2026 Ligue 1 season, Paris Saint-Germain will face Lens at the Stade Bollaert on Wednesday, May 13th, in a rescheduled match, similar to the one between Strasbourg and Brest. However, there are several important matches to watch this weekend.

The matches:

While we wait to see the 1st and 2nd place teams face off, several other teams will try to put pressure on Lens. Third-placed Lille travels to Toulouse (10th). It won’t be easy, but Lille are clear favorites and cannot afford to slip up after their impressive 3-0 victory against Lens last week. Be warned, though, Toulouse are capable of causing problems for anyone and won’t go down without a fight.
Just behind them, Olympique de Marseille (4th) and AS Monaco (5th) appear to have relatively manageable matches. Marseille hosts FC Metz, currently 18th and close to relegation to Ligue 2, although it’s not yet a done deal. They’ll need to be wary of Metz’s fighting spirit, as long as there’s hope of avoiding relegation at the end of the season. As for Monaco, they must be wary of a Paris FC side that has been in good form recently. But Monaco is also in good form and needs to keep the momentum going against very tough competition for European qualification.
Olympique Lyonnais, in 6th place, needs to bounce back after a frustrating draw at Angers, a 12th-placed team that will be looking to trouble Rennes (7th) this time. For Lyon, the task looks rather difficult against FC Lorient, in 9th, who have achieved some impressive results in 2026. As for Rennes, they have a chance to build on their recent promotion campaign under coach Franck Haise.
In the relegation battle, there are crucial matches between Auxerre (16th) and FC Nantes (17th), as well as Nice (15th) and Le Havre (14th). Points could prove decisive with the end of the season fast approaching.
