On Matchday 32 of the 2025-2026 Ligue 1 season, Paris Saint-Germain faces Lorient at the Parc des Princes this Saturday at 5:00 PM CET. A win is crucial to their title hopes on a special matchday: there are no matches on Fridays.

PSG must manage their Champions League semi-final match in the middle of the season; it’s part of their ambition to win everything. They have the tools to beat Lorient, but they are a team to be taken seriously, even if the last few weeks have been a bit more complicated and European qualification seems less likely.
The Parisians will be looking to put pressure on Lens, currently in second place, who have struggled recently and have a difficult away match against Nice, a 15th-placed team fighting to avoid relegation. This is a recurring theme for several matches: Lille (4th) hosts Le Havre (14th), Olympique de Marseille (6th) travels to Nantes (17th), and Monaco (7th) will be at Metz (18th). These are tense matches with very different objectives and are quite unpredictable.
There are also two crucial encounters: Olympique Lyonnais (3rd) hosts Rennes (5th) in the battle for European qualification, and could put pressure on Lens (as could Lille against Le Havre), while Angers (13th) can secure their survival at Auxerre (16th). Auxerre needs a win to maintain any real hope of avoiding relegation.
Let’s not forget Strasbourg (8th), who also have to manage their fixture schedule between Europa League Conference semi-finals (against Mainz) to try and stay in contention for European qualification. They will have to overcome an inconsistent Toulouse side that can always cause problems. Finally, the match between Paris FC (12th) and Brest (11th) seems to be mainly about the beauty of the game, but there are also some places for a better share of TV rights in particular.
