As it does after each round of league matches, L’Équipe has drawn up its team of the 17th day of Ligue 1 2024-2025, which was played over the weekend (find results and standings here). With their 2-1 victory over AS Saint-Etienne (video summary PSG/Saint-Etienne) at the Parc des Princes, Paris Saint-Germain saw 1 of their players selected: Ousmane Dembélé (27-year-old striker).

We’re not surprised to see Ousmane Dembélé in this team, as he scored twice. He could have made better choices on several occasions, but it’s hard not to highlight such a decisive performance. We could also mention Achraf Hakimi (26-year-old right-back), who once again hurt his opponents.

But he may have lacked a little precision to get ahead of the competition in Ligue 1. Even if we shouldn’t forget that he won the 2-0 penalty with his back-heel cross. For the other Parisians, he lacked something sharp and decisive to bring the game to a close and leave a lasting impression. Other players in the league also deserved to be honoured. Logically, there are some fine qualities.
