As is customary after each round of matches, L’Équipe has published its Team of the Week for Matchday 24 of the 2025-2026 Ligue 1 season, which took place this past weekend. With their 0-1 victory against Le Havre at the Stade Océane, Paris Saint-Germain has one player selected.

It’s good to see Ilya Zabarnyi’s performance highlighted, especially after some less impressive performances. The 23-year-old defender was very solid and maintained a clean, and at times even very effective, distribution from the back. This remains to be seen, but it’s encouraging.
One might have expected to see Bradley Barcola (the 23-year-old striker) also included, whose performance in the number 9 role was praised. However, other contenders were selected, which is somewhat surprising given the high quality of players in this league. It’s difficult to think of any other Parisians, apart perhaps from Matvey Safonov (the 27-year-old goalkeeper), in a match that wasn’t always thrilling, even though PSG clearly dominated. There’s also a particular expectation associated with playing in Paris.
