As after every league round, L’Équipe has named its Team of the Week for Matchday 6 of the 2025-2026 Ligue 1 season (see results and standings here). Despite their 2-0 win over Auxerre at the Parc des Princes (PSG/Auxerre highlights), Paris Saint-Germain did not see any of their players included.
It’s not a big surprise, as PSG were not particularly dazzling on Saturday. However, one could have expected Ilya Zabarnyi (23-year-old defender) to make the cut, given his solidity at the back and his goal. Still, it’s not shocking to see other standout performances rewarded instead. Paris largely managed the game, while others were more impressive. That said, it’s worth noting that expectations are always higher for PSG players — their matches need to be even more complete to earn such recognition.
