The Ligue de Football Professionnel (LFP) has finalized the schedule for Matchday 1 of the 2026-2027 Ligue 1 season, taking place over the weekend of Saturday, August 22, 2026. It is now confirmed that Paris Saint-Germain will face Rennes that day at the Parc des Princes at 8:45 PM CET, with the match broadcast on Ligue 1+ (as is the case for all league matches this season). This fixture will be preceded by the Trophée des Champions match against Lens on August 16 and followed by an away game at Lille on the Friday (Matchday 2 of Ligue 1).
