Match schedule for Matchday 19.
The match between PSG (1st) and Reims (13th) is not the most eagerly-awaited for the Parisians at the moment, but we’ll have to take it seriously if we are to avoid dropping points against a team that is going through a difficult period but knows how to be tough.
There’s no pressure in the standings, but you can never be too far ahead. Although, like last week, OM (2nd) could once again drop points when they travel to Nice (5th). A southern match that promises to be intense.
Lille (3rd) and Monaco (4th) will be looking to take advantage. Lille must continue their upward climb when they travel to Strasbourg (10th), an interesting team but one that lacks consistency. The Monegasques, for their part, must at last get back on track, while at the same time knocking Rennes (14th) off their stride and sliding dangerously towards the red zone.
Lyon (6th) will have to show that they are ready to fight for Europe, even if Nantes (15th) know how to be a handful and could still hold out in order to make progress towards survival. Lens (7th) will be keen to put the frustration of their defeat by PSG behind them, but watch out for Angers (12th), who are enjoying a fine run of form.
This could give them some breathing space in the race to stay up, even if it’s far from over. Saint-Etienne (16th) and Auxerre (11th), as well as Le Havre (17th) and Brest (9th), will be battling it out between the need to climb back up the table and the need to maintain their lead. Lastly, Montpellier (18th) must follow up on their victory over Monaco, while Toulouse (8th) must be careful if they are to progress towards Europe.
