On Matchday 26 of Ligue 1 2024-2025, Paris Saint-Germain take on Olympique de Marseille at the Parc des Princes this Sunday at 8:45pm (UTC+1). An eagerly-awaited match that could put an end to the suspense.

Ligue 1 - Matchday 26 preview: PSG/OM on course for the title

The match between PSG (1st) and OM (2nd) is inevitably the big event of the weekend, with the Classico always a special occasion. It’s also a chance for Paris to virtually become French champions as they head into the international break. Or Marseille could pull off a major coup, especially in the race for Europe.

Ahead of that, Nice (3rd), Monaco (4th), Lille (5th) and Lyon (6th) will be favourites to take on Auxerre (11th and still relatively untroubled), Angers (13th) and Nantes (14th). Strasbourg (7th) and Lens (8th) should have a tougher time of it against Toulouse (10th) and Rennes (12th), teams capable of upsetting anyone, even if they lack the consistency to go any higher. Beware, however, of the “favourites”: soccer is far from simple, and Ligue 1 often surprises.

Last but not least, Saint-Etienne (17th), who have just drawn with Le Havre, have another direct duel for survival against Montpellier (18th). It’s time for everyone to pick up some points.
