On Matchday 29 of Ligue 1 2024-2025, Paris Saint-Germain will play Nantes at Stade de la Beaujoire on Tuesday April 22, as the match has been rescheduled with the Champions League quarter-finals against Aston Villa in mind. Meanwhile, there were a few notable results.

Perhaps the most striking result of the weekend was Monaco’s slap in the face at Marseille. It was enough to take back 2nd place and leave Marseille still in doubt. The gap on the pitch and in the scoreline hurt.
Olympique Lyonnais and Lille took advantage of the situation with precious wins at Auxerre and Toulouse. The Lyonnais are finally close to the podium after a long battle to climb back up the table following an erratic start to the season, while the Lillois are clinging on, needing to rediscover their consistency for the final sprint. Strasbourg and Nice can’t be happy with their 2-2 draw, even if it’s positive for both to avoid defeat in a very tight race.
Brest missed the chance to get back on track, but it’s not over yet. Brest came up against a Saint-Etienne side full of fighting spirit to snatch a spectacular draw, even though they were trailing several times. Maintaining their position is still possible, especially as Le Havre were swept aside by Rennes at home. The play-off place remains at least within reach.
While Reims and Angers picked up valuable points. Lens lost to Reims 0-2 despite dominating the game, thus probably saying goodbye to European qualification. Reims, on the other hand, struck a blow in the race to stay up. So did Angers, who plunged Montpellier into crisis (10 consecutive defeats).
All that remains now is to await the Nantes/PSG match, which is of vital importance in the race for survival.
