Every month, the UNFP organizes a vote for the best player in Ligue 1. For September 2026, one Paris Saint-Germain player is in the running. The competition is between Paris Brunner (20-year-old forward for AS Monaco), Lassine Sinayoko (26-year-old forward for Paris FC), and Ferran Torres (26-year-old forward for PSG).
It’s a fantastic shortlist, with each player having played a decisive role for his club throughout September. It’s hard to choose between Brunner, Sinayoko, and Torres, though we naturally have a soft spot for the PSG forward. That said, it is worth noting—as is too often the case—that the nominees are exclusively attacking players. It is a shame that the contributions of midfielders and defenders don’t get quite as much recognition.
