The French Professional Football League (LFP) has announced the schedule for Matchday 5 of the 2025–2026 Ligue 1 season, which will be played over the weekend of Saturday, September 20, 2025. It is now confirmed that Paris Saint-Germain will face Olympique de Marseille at the Stade Vélodrome on Sunday evening at 8:45 p.m., with the match broadcast live on Ligue 1+. This highly anticipated clash comes just after PSG’s Champions League opener against Atalanta on Wednesday, and before they host Auxerre the following weekend (Matchday 6).

The full Matchday 5 schedule released by the LFP:

Friday, September 19

  • 8:45 p.m.: Olympique Lyonnais vs Angers SCO (Ligue1+).

Saturday, September 20

  • 5:00 p.m.: FC Nantes vs Stade Rennais FC (beIN SPORTS).
  • 7:00 p.m.: Stade Brestois 29 vs OGC Nice (Ligue1+).
  • 9:05 p.m.: RC Lens vs LOSC Lille (Ligue1+).

Sunday, September 21

8:45 p.m.: Olympique de Marseille vs Paris Saint-Germain (Ligue1+).

3:00 p.m.: Paris FC vs RC Strasbourg Alsace (Ligue1+).

5:15 p.m. (multiplex and individual broadcast on Ligue1+):

Le Havre AC vs FC Lorient

AJ Auxerre vs Toulouse FC

AS Monaco vs FC Metz
