Lucas Hernandez, the 29-year-old defender for Paris Saint-Germain and the French national team, is embroiled in a rather embarrassing affair. Paris Match reports that a family has filed a complaint for “human trafficking and undeclared work” in 2024 and 2025.
“The player and his wife are accused of human trafficking and undeclared work by a Colombian family. Between September 2024 and November 2025, a father, his wife, and their three children were employed by the couple without any legal framework and with excessively long hours.
The plaintiffs are members of a Colombian family who, for over a year, held various jobs for the player and his future wife, Victoria Triay: guards, security personnel, housekeepers, cooks, and nannies.”
As always with legal cases, we urge caution, as nothing is certain. A complaint doesn’t mean the person is guilty. Lucas Hernandez and his partner will undoubtedly try to defend themselves. The justice system must be allowed to run its course and unravel this whole affair.
It’s clear, however, that this is a problematic accusation and could disrupt the player’s season. This will be something to watch.
