Layvin Kurzawa, the 32-year-old left-back, left Paris Saint-Germain in the summer after his contract expired following months without playing. According to L’Equipe, a Portuguese club has made the move, as it is one of the few countries where he could sign now (it’s over, even for a free player, after the winter mercato in most leagues).
“Portugal, until the end of the month, is still a possible solution. For several days now, Boavista have been in talks to bring in the left-back.
He has also been courted by Leganés in recent weeks, and has yet to give the Portuguese his answer.”
We remain cautious, as this is just a rumour at the moment, and there have been many without the slightest confirmation surrounding Kurzawa since the summer of 2023. Perhaps because the player is still hoping for a better option. Possibly because he doesn’t want to get involved in the fight for survival with the current bottom of the Portuguese 1st division.
However, we can also point out that it will be difficult to get a top-flight club after many months without playing. Let’s wait and see what happens to this former Parisian, whose career is now sadly stalled after some questionable choices.
