The 2024-2025 winter mercato has arrived (throughout January), so the rumors surrounding Paris Saint-Germain are piling up. Today, 19-year-old left-back Serif Nhaga, who was under contract until 2025 and with the reserve team, has made it clear that he is leaving the club. According to journalist Marc Mechenoua, the move is to Sampdoria (Serie B).
“Serif Nhaga, who appeared in the professional squad two seasons ago, is set to leave PSG.Absent from training with the Espoirs squad since the start of the week, the young Portuguese full-back will be joining Sampdoria (Serie B).”
There’s no real doubt that Nhaga, who finished his training at PSG after growing up at FC Porto, will be leaving the club but has failed to make his mark. His message on social networks is quite clear, and it’s the logical outcome in his situation.
We’re more cautious when it comes to the destination, although it’s safe to assume that the journalist didn’t embark on this project without any certainties. We therefore expect official communication to confirm the departure soon.
It’s a disappointment, because for a while there had been hope for Nhaga. But he clearly failed to make the grade in Paris.
