Andrey Santos, a 20-year-old Chelsea midfielder under contract until 2030, has been loaned to Strasbourg for the 2024-2025 season. He made the most of this time to play and shine. This led to rumors of interest from Paris Saint-Germain. Today, PSG Inside Actus reports an interest from PSG, as well as a difficult transfer.
“The 20-year-old Brazilian midfielder, currently on loan from Chelsea to RC Strasbourg, is attracting a lot of interest from Parisian managers. Chelsea, aware of the value of their jewel, do not seem willing to part with him.
The London club sees the Brazilian midfielder as a key player for the future, and is even considering extending his contract.
The Parisians will therefore have to be persuasive if they are to convince Chelsea. A substantial offer could open discussions, but PSG will also have to contend with competition from other major European clubs (Barcelona and Juventus) who are keeping a close eye on Santos’ progress.”
There’s nothing definite yet, just a relatively “easy” rumor. Andrey Santos is a sensation of the season and it would make sense for PSG to consider him for their project. As other clubs are certainly tempted.
However, there is absolutely nothing concrete in the way of a transfer. Even less so from Paris. The young Brazilian has a long-term contract with Chelsea. The English club has no obvious reason to let him go. Perhaps with a very high offer. PSG could try their luck. But nothing is certain, and the competition would be tough.
Above all, let’s wait and see if there’s any concrete follow-up. There’s nothing to say it will, even if it is a possibility. Paris may also have other, possibly more feasible ideas.
