Randal Kolo Muani, the 26-year-old striker signed by Paris Saint-Germain in the summer mercato in September 2023 and under contract until June 2028, is one of the club’s biggest transfer targets. But he hasn’t managed to make his mark so far, and rumors of a departure have been rife. AS Monaco were mentioned, while Folarin Balogun (23) is injured for several months, and Monaco coach Adi Hütter responded in a press conference.
Hütter “It could be a profile.”
“That would be nice (He smiles)! But we have to be honest… There are a lot of strikers in Europe who could help us. I know Kolo Muani from his time at Frankfurt, he scored a lot of goals there, they were very good. That could be a profile. But there’s a lot to consider.
And without a doubt, he’s not one of the cheapest! We need to find a good solution for the 2nd half of the season. We have profiles. We need to find someone who can score goals. It doesn’t matter how old he is.”
It’s interesting that Hütter doesn’t rule out this possible transfer, although he doesn’t claim that Monaco are working on recruiting Kolo Muani either. There is one obvious obstacle: the financial aspect. Between the price and the salary, PSG and the French international will have to make an effort. This applies to just about all negotiations, so we can only hope that the Parisian club and the player will be reasonable.
Negotiations can still be complicated, and nothing can be taken for granted at the moment. A move to Monaco would come as something of a surprise, but it’s not totally out of the question.
