Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, the 23-year-old SSC Napoli striker under contract until 2027, was the target of a concrete offer from Paris Saint-Germain during the 2024 summer mercato, but his club did not open the door despite pressure from his entourage. Rumors of a Parisian attempt this winter are back. This Friday, L’Equipe asserts that PSG can believe it, and that they are still targeting Mohamed Salah (32-year-old striker at the end of his contract at Liverpool) for this summer.
“Neapolitan managers are not closed to selling the player.
“Already agreed to come last summer, “Kvara” is no less so this winter. In any case, PSG will continue to be active until next summer, just as they are for Mohamed Salah, who is at the end of his contract at Liverpool.
For several days now, contacts have been constant, and influential intermediaries in the market have been trying to find a solution to see the dossier move forward. Some sources mention the presence of Portuguese agent Jorge Mendes on the Parisian side.
The Neapolitan leaders are not closed to a sale of the player, under contract until 2027. Prices vary according to sources, ranging from €70m to €90m.
Three men likely to be of interest to Napoli
As Luis Campos is wont to do in negotiations, it’s not impossible for Paris to propose players to be included in the transfer to bring the price down a little. Three men who are candidates to leave the club are likely to be of interest to Napoli: Randal Kolo Muani, Milan Skriniar and Marco Asensio.”
There’s nothing official yet, and we’re all familiar with Napoli, with president Aurelio De Laurentiis always tough on business and capable of making a strong statement to calm everyone down. We mustn’t get carried away too quickly.
But PSG does seem to have a hope, given how quickly all the media agree. It’s rarely all for nothing. Negotiations are certainly underway, and it remains to be seen whether an agreement can be reached. Possibly with an exchange, but it’s not a foregone conclusion.
As for Salah, another dossier, it’s a possible attempt by PSG to take advantage of a particular opportunity. But it’s less clear-cut than the Kvaratskhelia dossier. Recruiting both would be a huge plus for Paris, but we’re a long way from that.
