Despite an extension at Paris Saint-Germain in May 2023 until 2028, Marquinhos has been questioned several times in recent months, and there have been rumors of a departure for the 30-year-old central defender and captain. PSG Inside Actus assures us this Friday that the club is indeed opting for this outcome in order to follow its project.

Mercato - Marquinhos is said to be on the verge of leaving PSG!

Marquinhos has already been with PSG for 11 years, so a change is not totally out of the question. The player may also be keen to take on a new challenge, as the club looks to complete the renewal of its squad.

We remain cautious, however, as the player seems happy in Paris and has long expressed his desire to go as far as possible with the club. The club can also count on an experienced, exemplary player who knows PSG inside out.

Especially as a possible departure in 2025 or 2026 is still a long way off. A lot can happen between now and then. There’s also the fact that the player didn’t want to leave in 2024, which obviously counts for something.
