Maghnes Akliouche, AS Monaco’s 22-year-old attacking midfielder, has been tipped by the media as one of Paris Saint-Germain’s targets for the 2024 summer mercato, but has extended his contract (from 2026 to 2028). However, PSG are still interested in the future. PSG Inside Actus even claims that he is one of their “priorities”.
“His technical style of play and ability to create chances are attracting many European clubs, including PSG. Under contract with Monaco until 2028, Akliouche will not be easy to dislodge. The Monegasque club, accustomed to selling its talent, could demand a substantial sum for its player.
However, PSG, who are always on the lookout for young French talent to bolster their squad, could go on the offensive this summer. Paris has made the player one of its priorities for the upcoming mercato.”
Nothing is certain yet, as this is not an official announcement. However, several media outlets agree that Akliouche is one of PSG’s summer targets. Which makes sense, given that Akliouche is a highly talented player who looks like he could fit into the Parisian team with his effort, technical finesse, percussion and ability to be decisive.
As for the player himself, he could be tempted to take his career to the next level. Especially when he sees the likes of Bradley Barcola (22-year-old striker), Warren Zaïre-Emery (19-year-old midfielder) or Désiré Doué (19-year-old midfielder) earning a place in the French national team.
But beware, other players may be tempted by Akliouche and have good arguments, while Monaco could be very demanding on the price. Nothing’s been decided yet, so let’s wait and see.
