Randal Kolo Muani, the 26-year-old French national team striker who was struggling at Paris Saint-Germain, has been loaned out to Juventus Turin until the end of the 2024-2025 season without an option to buy. He initially bounced back well, and the Turin club announced its intention to keep him. However, this has yet to materialize, so we’re waiting for an official announcement. La Gazzetta dello Sport assures us that an agreement is close at hand.
“Gazzetta: An agreement is nearing between #PSG and Juve for Randal Kolo Muani for next season. Possible loan with option or purchase obligation set at 40-45M. The player wants to stay in Turin.”
A relatively credible announcement, since Juventus have made it clear that they are working to keep Kolo Muani. The latter is also keen to stay. This is a good sign that an agreement can be reached. Even if it doesn’t guarantee a deal either. Another club could try their luck with a very attractive offer. It would still be a surprising outcome.
We’re just waiting to see where the negotiations will lead, between the formula and the exact amount. We know that the media can be hard pressed to be fair until the matter is settled. Which is relatively logical, given that it’s not fixed until the two clubs agree. The main thing is that PSG have managed to complete a relatively interesting departure, while Kolo Muani seemed lost in Paris.
