The 2024-2025 winter mercato is here (for the whole month of January), so the rumors surrounding Paris Saint-Germain are piling up right up to its last day (closing tonight at 11pm in France). Now, journalist Fabrice Hawkins (RMC Sport) has confirmed that PSG is still working on two new recruits.
“Not players directly linked to Luis Enrique’s squad for the second half of the season.
“After the arrival of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, for 70 million euros, and several departures (Randal Kolo Muani, Milan Skriniar, Xavi Simons, Marco Asensio), PSG has not completely finished its mercato. The Parisians are working on two leads. They do not concern players directly linked to Luis Enrique’s squad for the second half of the season.”
We remain cautious, as this is only a rumour and not an official announcement. Above all, the rumor is particularly vague. There’s no name, no position…and in the end, there are players who would rather come for next summer. With a signing as early as this Monday? Or in the next few days? Perhaps for players at the end of their contract.
Otherwise, we’d simply be saying that Paris is working to bring in new recruits next summer. Which is a bit easy to say. Hopefully, this will be refined in the near future. Otherwise, we’ll just have to wait and see while PSG (logically) gets ready.
