Rodrigo Mora, FC Porto’s 17-year-old attacking midfielder/winger (under contract until 2027) who has made a remarkable professional debut, has been mentioned as being in the sights of Paris Saint-Germain for the mercato. PSG director of soccer Luis Campos responded on Canal+ this Monday evening.
“Luis Campos denies Rodrigo Mora rumour.
Asked on his arrival at Villa Park about the possible recruitment of the 17-year-old prodigy from FC Porto, the Parisian sports director replied: “This rumour is completely false. In Paris, We love Mayulu’.”
A simple, straightforward answer that could calm the rumors… But we all know it’s far from that simple. The media don’t often give up so easily. It’s fair to say that clubs, players and agents are to some extent responsible, since there are lies at every mercato.
However, there’s nothing encouraging in the sense of a Mora transfer to PSG. For the moment, we’re a long way from that. That could change at some point. All the same, there’s bound to be a certain amount of caution in the absence of anything concrete. Especially as Paris has other weapons in its squad, including 18-year-old Senny Mayulu.
