The 2024-2025 winter mercato has arrived (throughout January), so the rumors surrounding Paris Saint-Germain are piling up. Today, Djamel rounds up discussions with several Titis: Ibrahima Diaby (17-year-old midfielder), Axel Tape (17-year-old defender) and Mahamadou Sangaré (17-year-old striker). He also confirmed the signing of Ibrahim Mbaye (16-year-old striker).
Des discussions lancées, une bien avancée.
“The PSG management would like to sign Ibrahima Diaby to a professional contract, as the club’s management appreciates his profile. If agreement is reached, the plan would be to loan him out to gain more playing time and experience. But it’s not a simple matter, as several European clubs are interested in recruiting him.
At the same time, PSG are also planning to offer a professional contract to Axel Tape, who is highly coveted by several clubs, including Hoffenheim, and to Mahamadou Sangaré, who is also being courted.”
For Ibrahim Mbaye, discussions began in September, and an agreement in principle has been reached for him to sign his first professional contract. The signature is expected in the next few hours!
Let’s wait and see what happens with these dossiers, apart from Mbaye’s, as all the media are in agreement. It seems that the Parisian star will sign this famous first professional contract and thus make a long-term commitment to the capital. Which would be excellent news.
We’ll just have to wait and see if Diaby, Tape and Sangaré follow suit. There is hope, however, as PSG has a fine project to offer. Particularly with coach Luis Enrique, who isn’t afraid to put his faith in youngsters as long as they deserve the opportunity to train. But we know that other clubs know how to offer playing time and that this can be tempting.
