Paris Saint-Germain coach Luis Enrique, whose team sits first in the league, spoke at a press conference this Friday ahead of tomorrow’s match against Monaco (8th) at the Stade Louis II (kick-off at 5 p.m., CET) as part of Matchday 14 of the 2025–2026 Ligue 1 season. On the occasion, the Spaniard also spoke to PSG TV.

An incredible match against Tottenham — what do you take away from it?
“It was a very important match, because I think that after the win, we can see qualification coming very close. It strengthens our identity and our level. The match was intense from the very first minutes. Playing at the Parc, with this team, it’s different. We were able to overcome difficulties. I think we played a very good game.”
How has the team’s mental strength developed?
“One very important thing is our way of playing. We never look for another approach. We don’t change our way of attacking or defending, no matter the score. That shows we have no doubts. We might make mistakes or be precise, but we play the same way. We always play with the same conviction.
Even in the Champions League final, we kept attacking until the end. Some teams, when facing difficulties, they change. I believe we must stay convinced of our way of playing.”
How do you envision tomorrow’s match?
“Difficult. No match in Monaco has ever been easy. They have a lot of quality players. Last time, they equalised in the last minute. It will be complicated — the players must stay focused. There are only two days between the two matches, the shortest possible. It’s the same for both teams, so there are no excuses.”
