On Tuesday at the Stade Louis II, Paris Saint-Germain defeated AS Monaco 2-3 in the first leg of the 2025-2026 Champions League play-off (return leg on Wednesday, February 25). Here are the player ratings given by Le Parisien and L’Équipe to the capital club’s players.

Contents
Le Parisien :L’Equipe :

Le Parisien :

Doué (5.5) – Doué (8.5) – Kvaratskhelia (5)

Neves (4.5) – Vitinha (5) – Zaïre-Emery (5)

Nuno Mendes (3.5) – Pacho (5) – Marquinhos (4) – Hakimi (6)

Safonov (5)

L’Equipe :

Luis Enrique  – 5

Barcola (6) – Doué (8) – Kvaratskhelia (6)

Neves (6) – Vitinha (4) – Zaïre-Emery (7)

Nuno Mendes (3) – Pacho (6) – Marquinhos (4) – Hakimi (7)

Safonov (5)

This is the kind of match where ratings are difficult. PSG were so defensively disorganized in the first 20 minutes that some players inevitably deserve to be singled out. It’s the Champions League, the competition of details, and so everything could have turned into a nightmare. That said, PSG were also far superior to Monaco overall. Some players somehow redeemed themselves after the poor start. Pacho recovered, Neves grew into the game, as did Vitinha. The only player who had a very difficult time was Nuno Mendes, who made a lot of mistakes. Offensively, Doué deservedly won over the fans and journalists with his excellent performance. Hakimi was also good.
