Walid Regragui, the Moroccan national team coach, has announced his squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (December 21 – January 18), where they will face Comoros (December 21), Mali (December 26), and Zambia (December 29) in the group stage. The only Moroccan player at PSG, Achraf Hakimi (27-year-old right-back), has been selected.

Still recovering from an ankle injury sustained in early November, Hakimi is nearing his return and is therefore a logical choice, given his status as a key player for Morocco (as well as for PSG). The hope is to see him fit for the first match on December 21, without taking any risks for the remainder of the tournament.
