The Disciplinary Committee of the Professional Football League met this evening to decide on the various sanctions to be imposed following recent matches in French professional football. Among the cases discussed was that of Achraf Hakimi, the 27-year-old right-back for Paris Saint-Germain, who received a yellow card against Monaco last weekend. He will therefore be suspended due to the revocation of the suspended sentence he received for the red card he received on February 1st during Matchday 20 (a 2-1 victory).
“A one-match suspension following a fifth yellow card (Ligue 1 McDonald’s, Coupe de France, Trophée des Champions) or due to the revocation of a suspended sentence. The sanction takes effect from Tuesday, March 17, 2026.

Brendan CHARDONNET (Stade Brestois 29)
Achraf HAKIMI (Paris Saint-Germain)
Tyler MORTON (Olympique Lyonnais)
Yanis ZOUAOUI (Le Havre AC)”
Hakimi will therefore miss this away match just before the international break, leaving PSG to find a solution as his usual “replacement,” Warren Zaïre-Emery, already seems quite tired.
