Désiré Doué, the 20-year-old Paris Saint-Germain midfielder/forward, had to leave the field due to a thigh injury during Wednesday’s match against Lorient (Ligue 1 Matchday 10). The nature and duration of the injury were then awaited. PSG released an official statement after the examinations.
“Injured during the match against Lorient, Désiré Doué has suffered a muscle injury to his right thigh and will be unavailable for a few weeks. A further assessment will be made after the international break.”
Perhaps there is some relatively good news, as it doesn’t appear to be an absence of several months, which was a fear. We will still have to wait to know the exact return date. At least there is an international break starting on November 10, which allows some time for recovery. We wish Doué all the best.
