Paris Saint-Germain released an official statement on Monday announcing the extension of its partnership agreement with Visit Qatar, initially signed for the 2012-2013 season.
“The new agreement, signed until 2028, confirms Visit Qatar’s status as a Premium Partner of the Paris Saint-Germain women’s and men’s football teams, as well as the handball team, thus illustrating the natural continuation of a long-term relationship based on shared values.
Since the 2012-2013 season, Paris Saint-Germain and Visit Qatar have been working together to showcase Qatar’s unique cultural heritage and world-class hospitality: a destination that combines family experiences, accessible luxury, and immersive activities in culture, sports, gastronomy, and entertainment.”
PSG is therefore continuing its partnership with this very important partner, which isn’t necessarily a big surprise since the shareholders are also Qatari. This remains a significant agreement for the continued development of the project. There’s the image, as well as the revenue.
Some also appreciate seeing Marco Verratti, former PSG midfielder from 2012 to 2023, involved in the announcement of this contract extension. It’s a sign of the ongoing connection with the Italian and a reminder of the importance of history in the club’s progress.
