João Neves, Paris Saint-Germain’s 20-year-old midfielder, was forced off with pain during the victory over Atalanta on Wednesday night in the opening match of the 2025-2026 Champions League group stage. PSG issued a statement to provide an update:
“After suffering an injury to his left hamstring during yesterday’s match against Atalanta, João Neves will remain in treatment until next week.”
There’s nothing too serious, although some rest will be needed. Neves should be back soon, which is the main thing. And for the upcoming Classico, PSG should still be able to field a strong team even without the Portuguese midfielder.
