Jade Le Guilly, the 23-year-old defender for Paris Saint-Germain, was unfortunately forced to leave a pre-season match against Ajax Amsterdam with an injury. PSG provided an update on Monday, confirming that she underwent successful surgery to repair a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament in her right knee.
“Injured during the match against Ajax on August 30, Jade Le Guilly suffered a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament in her right knee.
The PSG defender underwent successful surgery at the end of last week. She will now begin her rehabilitation program with the club’s medical staff.
The entire Paris Saint-Germain family wishes Jade a speedy recovery and offers her their full support.”
This is terrible news, as her absence will last for a significant part of the season. PSG will miss her, and she will need to be patient and courageous during her recovery and subsequent rehabilitation to return to playing. We can only wish Le Guilly the best possible recovery.
