This Sunday, Paris Saint-Germain (7th) face Olympique de Marseille (13th) at the Stade Vélodrome in Matchday 5 of the 2026-2027 Ligue 1 season (kick-off at 8:45 PM, CET). On Saturday, Le Parisien put forward a probable Paris lineup.
Doué – Dembélé – Torres
Ruiz – Vitinha – Neves
Mendes – Pacho – Marquinhos – Zaïre-Emery
Safonov.
It is a perfectly plausible lineup, though one must remain cautious. This is not an official announcement, and coach Luis Enrique is known for keeping his selection choices under wraps. The Spaniard is capable of springing surprises, given the fierce competition and the high level of versatility within his squad. Take Maghnes Akliouche, for instance, who can play in midfield, as a false nine, or on the right wing. And he is far from the only player capable of filling multiple roles; indeed, he could even start on the bench.
What we do know is that we can expect a first-choice lineup for this special fixture, especially given the urgent need for points and the fact that the international break follows immediately after. All this comes after a full week of preparation. To be certain, however, the wisest course of action is to wait for the official lineup announcement, which usually comes about an hour before kick-off.
