Ousmane Dembélé, Paris Saint-Germain’s 27-year-old striker, suffered muscle discomfort during Tuesday night’s 0-1 Champions League semi-final first leg win over Arsenal at Emirates Stadium (video highlights Arsenal/PSG). Speaking in the mixed zone, he commented on the hamstring pain.

“It’ll be fine” says Ousmane Dembélé before boarding the PSG bus.
Medical examinations scheduled for Wednesday in Paris.”

It’s not enough to be certain, unfortunately. A player can be optimistic, guided by desire and determination. It’s probably nothing too serious, except that the return leg starts next week (Wednesday, May 7). So, a little discomfort could be enough to forfeit the match.

Let’s wait for the test results to find out more. There’s hope, but also serenity in any case. As Paris coach Luis Enrique pointed out on Canal+, there will be a real team in the second leg anyway. But if Dembélé is there, all the better.
