This Wednesday, Paris Saint-Germain take on Arsenal at the Parc des Princes in the second leg of their Champions League 2024-2025 semi-final (0-1 win in the first leg) (kick-off 9pm, broadcast on Canal+). On Monday, L’Equipe and RMC Sport confirmed that 27-year-old striker Ousmane Dembélé would be at today’s training session.
RMC Sport
“According to our information, the 2018 world champion performed three of the four exercises proposed to the group, which was expected. Victim of a “hamstring strain in the right thigh”, Ousmane Dembélé felt good during this session. The staff’s objective is clear: to get the player back on his feet so that he can play in the return match on Wednesday, or even start the game.”
L’Equipe
“As expected, the striker trained with his team-mates on Monday. The Parisian simply didn’t take part in the last exercise of the session, without this calling into question his physical state.”
Many agree that Dembélé has returned to training. Even if he didn’t do it all, it’s safe to assume that he’ll be ready for Wednesday. It’s still a very short absence, and he still has tomorrow’s session to build on.
Be careful though, it’s not a done deal yet. But there are good reasons to be optimistic now.
