Unaï Emery, former coach of Les Rouge et Bleu and current tactician of The Villans, spoke to Canal+ Sports after the match about his return to the Parc, and the evening’s defeat:
Emery: “We’ll have to win by more than a single goal”.
Does that last goal change anything?
Of course the last goal changes things a little. In any case, we have to win the second leg and fight hard. We’ll have to win by more than a single goal. But we’ll be playing at home with our supporters. We’re going to face them in the second leg and we’re going to be the protagonists of the match.
Are you happy to be back in Paris?
I’m happy to be playing in the Champions League, to be playing in Paris but in the Champions League. With our club, which is doing very well in this competition. And of course, playing against the best teams in the world is fantastic for us.
