It’s the international break, and that’s always a problem for players who are playing a succession of games and risking injury. While it is sometimes difficult for clubs and national teams to reach an agreement on players’ playing time, Morocco and Paris Saint-Germain seem to have reached an agreement on the subject of 25-year-old Achraf Hakimi. According to Moroccan channel 2M, a friendly agreement has been reached and the Parisian full-back will be excused from the match against Lesotho at 8pm on Monday. He can return to Paris.

| PSG have reached a friendly agreement with the Royal Moroccan Football Federation for Achraf Hakimi to be excused from the match against Lesotho, allowing him to return to Paris!

This is excellent news, and rare enough to warrant mention. It allows the Parisian club to bring back one of its key players and thus prepare for the upcoming matches in the best possible way. We also know that it’s in Morocco’s interest to do so.

Hakimi has been playing match after match, without really having an understudy at PSG, so it’s important for his country not to pull the string, and therefore to preserve his player whenever possible. We hope that other national teams will have this kind of idea in the future.
