Paris Saint-Germain secured a 2-0 victory against Liverpool at Anfield on Tuesday in the second leg of their 2025-2026 Champions League quarter-final tie. Following this win, PSG not only secured their semi-final match (April 28th and May 6th) against Liverpool, but also a substantial additional sum. L’Equipe reports that €15 million has been added to PSG’s earnings in the competition this season.
Reaching the Champions League semi-finals means an extra €15 million for the reigning European champions. This sum is in addition to the €106.8 million PSG has already earned since the start of the group stage, where they finished in 11th place.
This is clearly a significant boost for the club, providing a substantial share of the prize money to bolster their squad for the future. This applies to transfers, but not only to transfers. There are other investments (training center, stadium, etc.). There’s never too much money in the coffers. This isn’t enough to stay at the top level, but it’s certainly an advantage.
