This Saturday evening, Paris Saint-Germain won 2-1 (video highlights PSG/Le Havre) against Le Havre on Matchday 30 of Ligue 1 2024-2025 at the Parc des Princes. We take a look at the highlights and lowlights of the victory.
Tops –
Désiré Doué – A class act
He never ceases to impress: his passes, his gestures, his desire to give pleasure, he never stops. There’s still room for improvement in a number of areas, particularly his finishing, but his ability to eliminate and give the ball away under any circumstances make him a player in a class of his own. Let’s hope he continues to grow.
Senny Mayulu
He doesn’t make much noise, but he’s got a strong personality. He fights every match to prove his worth, he has great qualities and we’ve seen that he deserves to have game time, so serious and diligent is he, with a good dose of talent.
Unbeaten
Never losing is no mean feat. It’s never happened in Ligue 1, a season without losing. PSG are not so far away. The magnitude of the task may seem “easy” with PSG so dominant and above the competition, but this team’s strength in never giving up, even when motivation is low, is a trump card in the quest for records and, why not, the ultimate title.
Flops –
A guilty slackening
A less accomplished match? You could say so. Le Havre were very weak, and while we won’t fall into the trap of the media who talk of regrets for the northern club, we do recognize that the slackness made the match far less interesting for Paris. Le Havre didn’t have many clear-cut situations either, but the game became “a little” more balanced in the second half.
A goal from an aerial duel
When will Luis Enrique put his players to work in this area? We could see that his principles were well established, that the team knew what to do in all circumstances, except for aerial balls into the penalty area. Let’s be careful not to regret this against Arsenal, who will be able to find the key to attack by putting balls in the air in the Parisians’ 16.50m.
