This Saturday at 5pm (broadcast on beIN SPORTS in France), Paris Saint-Germain (1st) take on Lens (5th) Parc des Princes as part of the 10th day of Ligue 1 2024-2025. At a press conference, Lens coach Will Still spoke of his team’s ambitions for this tricky trip.

Still “ things to do to best annoy them.”

“Can PSG be caught?

They’re a very, very good team, but they’re still a team playing in Ligue 1 and they have their weaknesses too. I’m not going to list all their strengths and weaknesses, otherwise they’ll know what we’re going to do (smiles). Individually and collectively, they’re very solid. They’ve been winning titles for quite a few years now. But there are things we’ll have to do to give them a run for their money.

We’ll be going to the Parc to defend our style of play, knowing that we’ll be up against some very tough opposition. There’s a certain taste of revenge compared to last week (the derby defeat). It’s been a really good week of training. We’re going into the game in good spirits, with the desire to get something out of it”, comments relayed by Le 11LDH.

Still isn’t just pretending, he’s wary of a PSG that has some fine strengths and seems to be the favorite for the Ligue 1 title. That’s not to say he’s confident.

However, there’s no victimization either, or the idea of points already almost lost. The Lens coach wants his team to fight hard for a big performance. There are things to push for, and things to avoid.

With Reims, this coach has caused real problems for PSG in recent years. So we’re wary. Even if Paris is progressing and has the strengths to win. That must be the objective.
