With 2 days to go before the match, Le Parisien reports that Marquinhos (30-year-old central defender and captain) is due to undergo tests to assess the muscle discomfort he felt on Tuesday against Liverpool (Champions League Round of 8 second leg).
“The case of the PSG captain does not inspire any particular fears internally. However, the Brazilian defender is due to undergo tests this Friday morning to assess the progress of his injury.”
There’s no need to panic, but there is a need to check the reason for Marquinhos’ pain. We can only hope that he will need a short rest to recover and get on with the game. But beware of unpleasant surprises.
