Bruno Fernandes, the 30-year-old Manchester United and Portugal attacking midfielder, was at a press conference ahead of tonight’s Nations League semi-final against Germany. In particular, he was asked whether the 4 Paris Saint-Germain players who accompany him in the squad – Nuno Mendes, Vitinha, João Neves and Gonçalo Ramos – are ready for this match less than a week after the Champions League final victory over Inter Milan.
Fernandes “They’ve been brilliant all season”.
“We’ll see, I hope (smile). Obviously, these are 4 important players for us. They’ve been brilliant all season, and of course it’s been a long season for them. They played in the French Cup final, then the Champions League final. So yes, it’s been a long time. But they’ve got a bit of time to celebrate.
But they’re still hungry for victories, to celebrate again at the end of this competition. That’s a good sign, they can celebrate again. And it would be even more special, because it would be with the national team.
