This Saturday, Paris Saint-Germain (2nd) faces Brest (12th) at the Stade Francis Le-Blé in the 9th day of Ligue 1 2025-2026 (kick-off at 5 p.m., CET). This morning, as the squad announcement advances, Le Parisien has updated on the absences of João Neves (21-year-old midfielder) and Fabian Ruiz (29 years old).
« While João Neves returned to team exercises on Friday, this is not yet the case for Fabian Ruiz, who has remained training on the sidelines. Absent from competition since injuring his adductor muscle in Barcelona’s Champions League tie (1-2) on October 1, the Spanish midfielder is still fine-tuning his return. This should happen very soon, probably not this Saturday during the trip to Brest.
So we’re heading towards new withdrawals for Ruiz and Neves for this match, but their returns are close. It’s not even out of the question for the latter this Saturday. Next week, the Parisian squad could be at full strength, if there are no nasty surprises between now and then. Fingers crossed.
