This Friday, Paris Saint-Germain (1st) take on Toulouse (10th) at the Parc des Princes for Matchday 12 of Ligue 1 2024-2025 ( kick-off 9pm, broadcast on DAZN). This Monday, RMC Sport reports that Lucas Hernandez (28-year-old defender) and Gonçalo Ramos (23-year-old striker) will not play despite being “ fit”overall .
“ According to our information, there is little chance of seeing the two returning players on the pitch against Toulouse this Friday.
Coach Luis Enrique would like to see them complete several sessions with the full squad before throwing them into the deep end, and this second week of the international break, with many players absent, is proving too disjointed to constitute a solid enough test.”
This makes sense, as there’s no question of rushing the resumption and having a relapse or a player overwhelmed by the pace. We’re still cautious, though, as this isn’t an official announcement and it’s still possible to work over the break with a reduced squad.
In any case, we’re expecting a return to action with little playing time. And certainly not next Tuesday against Bayern Munich in the Champions League. Even if it’s not totally impossible.
