Carlos Soler, the 28-year-old midfielder who arrived at Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2022 from Valencia with a contract until 2027, failed to impress on the pitch and was loaned to West Ham for the 2024-2025 season. He has returned to Paris, with a solution to be found for his future. This should be with Real Sociedad. Marca confirms the agreement reached and assures that a medical is scheduled.
“Carlos Soler is about to officially become a new Real Sociedad player for the 2025-26 season. The blue and white club has reached an agreement with PSG for him to join San Sebastian in exchange for six to eight million euros for 50% of his rights.”
This will be the Valencian’s return to La Liga after three seasons with the French club, the last of which was on loan at West Ham. The Valencian could arrive in San Sebastian in the next few hours to undergo a medical and sign his new contract.”
When you get to this stage, there’s no longer any real doubt. Even if there could be an unpleasant surprise. It’s rare, but it does happen. We can still be confident, Soler should officially leave PSG in the next few hours. This will be on a permanent transfer, after the brief rumor of a loan with an option to buy.
The amount would therefore be €8 million, with a significant portion coming from a resale. It would be a great deal for Paris given the situation. We’ll wait and see if this is confirmed.
